Tickfaw State Park, located 7 mi west of Springfield, Louisiana, opened in May 1999 and quickly became one of Louisiana's most popular state parks because of its natural setting, recreation opportunities. Tickfaw is a village in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. The population was 617 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Hammond Micropolitan Statistical Area.
